What we’re reading right now

Here’s what’s on our shelves right now.

The yellow balloon

Sometimes the best books are those that don’t have any words because you can make up your own narrative and explore the story through your imagination. This book allows you to do just that through its series of stunning watercolour paintings depicting life all around the world. Havvie and I have many discussions about what’s on the pages and looks like this won’t be leaving our bookshelf anytime soon.

City moon

A book about the astute observations of a little boy while he goes on a walk with his mum to find the moon. This is a great bed time read that gets even the adults thinking.

Everybody needs water

A book about what water means to everyone around the world. Many of us take access to clean water for granted but this is not the case for a lot of people on the planet. Havvie loves to look at the real images of the people around the world, how they live and use water in their everyday lives. This is a great book for learning about diversity on planet Earth and building empathy for humankind.
